๐Ÿ“™ The Quantum Puzzle: Critique of Quantum Theory and Electrodynamics by Barry R. Clarke โ€” free epub

In 1861, James Clerkโ€“Maxwell published Part II of his four-part series "On physical lines of force". In it, he attempted to construct a vortex model of the magnetic field but after much effort neither he, nor other late nineteenth century physicists who followed him, managed to produce a workable theory. What survived from these attempts were Maxwell's four equations of electrodynamics together with the Lorentz force law, formulae that made no attempt to describe an underlying reality but stood only as a mathematical description of the observed phenomena. When the quantum of action was introduced by Planck in 1900 the difficulties that had faced Maxwell's generation were still unresolved. Since then theories of increasing mathematical complexity have been constructed to attempt to bring the totality of phenomena into order with little success. This work examines the problems that had been abandoned long before quantum mechanics was formulated in 1925 and argues that these issues need to be revisited before real progress in the quantum theory of the electromagnetic field can be made.

Combinatorial Number Theory: Proceedings of the 'Integers Conference 2007', Carrollton, Georgia, October 2427, 2007 epub download by Landman, Bruce, Bruce Landman

This is the first fundamental book devoted to non-Kolmogorov probability models. It provides a mathematical theory of negative probabilities, with numerous applications to quantum physics, information theory, complexity, biology and psychology. The book a...

Relativistic Electronic Structure Theory: Part 2. Applications
Relativistic Electronic Structure Theory: Part 2. Applications free epub by Peter Schwerdtfeger (Eds.)

The field of relativistic electronic structure theory is generally not part of theoretical chemistry education, and is therefore not covered in most quantum chemistry textbooks. This is due to the fact that only in the last two decades have we learned abo...

Representations of quantum algebras and combinatorics of Young tableaux
Representations of quantum algebras and combinatorics of Young tableaux download pdf by Susumu Ariki

This book contains most of the nonstandard material necessary to get acquainted with this new rapidly developing area. It can be used as a good entry point into the study of representations of quantum groups. Among several tools used in studying represent...

The Direction of Literary Theory
The Direction of Literary Theory free pdf by Steven Earnshaw (auth.)

An initial proposition is made that literary theory is divided into two broad, antithetical camps - one where the focus is purely textual, the other where the focus is on context. Section One is devoted to resolving this central dichotomy by examining iss...

In their quest for the solution to the 1859 Reimann Hypothesis, the "Holy Grail" wrought of the mystery of prime numbers, mathematicians have developed aspects of number theory, logic, geometry, analysis, logic, probability theory, chaos theory, and quant...

The Nature Of Space And Time
The Nature Of Space And Time epub download by Stephen Hawking, Roger Penrose

Einstein said that the most incomprehensible thing about the universe is that it is comprehensible. But was he right? Can the quantum theory of fields and Einstein's general theory of relativity, the two most accurate and successful theories in all of phy...
