**Spectral theory of non-self-adjoint two-point differential operators pdf free by John Locker**

This monograph develops the spectral theory of an $n$th order non-self-adjoint two-point differential operator $L$ in the Hilbert space $L^2[0,1]$. The mathematical foundation is laid in the first part, where the spectral theory is developed for closed li...

**One-parameter Semigroups of Positive Operators free pdf by Wolfgang Arendt, Annette Grabosch, GĂĽnther Greiner, Ulrich Moustakas, Rainer Nagel, Ulf Schlotterbeck, Ulrich Groh, Heinrich P. Lotz, Frank Neubrander (auth.), Rainer Nagel (eds.)**

The book is organized as follows. We concentrate our attention on three subjects of semigroup theory: characterization, spectral theory and asymptotic behavior. By characterization , we understand the problem of describing special properties of a semigrou...

**HP-Finite Element Methods for Singular Perturbations pdf free by Melenk J.M.**

Many partial differential equations arising in practice are parameter-dependent problems that are of singularly perturbed type. Prominent examples include plate and shell models for small thickness in solid mechanics, convection-diffusion problems in flui...

This book addresses both probabilists working on diffusion processes and analysts interested in linear parabolic partial differential equations with singular coefficients. The central question discussed is whether a given diffusion operator, i.e., a second order linear differential operator without zeroth order term, which is a priori defined on test functions over some (finite or infinite dimensional) state space only, uniquely determines a strongly continuous semigroup on a corresponding weighted Lp space. Particular emphasis is placed on phenomena causing non-uniqueness, as well as on the relation between different notions of uniqueness appearing in analytic and probabilistic contexts.
